While I've been quietly working away for months trying to deliver the perfect rod tube for our Epic lineup, our mate Chris Swadling over in Australia has well and truly trumped us!
Obviously the result of many hours of extensive materials testing and in depth product development, and in the true spirit of sticking it to the man - we present - the most Epic of rod tubes.
Going forward I'd like to encourage everyone to put the hard yards in to build their own - I'll certainly be doing my by bit.
I have it on good authority that this is in fact a full working and fully serviceable rod tube. The inside is sleeved by a full length PVC pipe and the very empty Whisky tubes are coated in a protective layer of - wait for it… Spar Vanish. (Nice to see you've given a 'tip O the cap' to tradition there Chris)
Oh, and Chris built a damn fine Epic to fit inside his new tube - I'm picking it was done before the rod tube was fully completed.
